The Gathering   will offer experienced labyrinth users and facilitators fresh ideas and strategies for continued work with the labyrinth.

 FACULTY

JOHN E. RIDDER  Since first walking the labyrinth in 1993, John has created over 150 labyrinths for a variety of clients, including the 2002 Winter Olympics.  John is an expert in design and construction of historical and contemporary labyrinths in both natural and man-made media. His labyrinth designs can be found in far off places like Australia, Ireland, Hong Kong and Cyberspace!.   John is a founding member of the Labyrinth Society and founder of the Labyrinth Coalition. He also serves on the Veriditas Council* and as a Regional Representative for The Labyrinth Society.

ELLEN BINTZ MEUCH  During the past ten years Ellen has been involved with JUST of DuPage, the social organization inside the DuPage County Jail, and has been teaching inside the jail and also leads labyrinth workshops with the men and women inmates.  Ellen offers walks and workshops outside the jail for released inmates and also to the general public at her church, hospitals and other facilities.   Ellen, a Veriditas trained and Certified Facilitator, is a member of the Veriditas Council* and has helped other labyrinth facilitators get labyrinths into jails and prisons in California, Boston, Kentucky, Scotland, Ireland and England.

DHYANA RAYNOR  Dhyana Raynor trained as a Veriditas Facilitator in 1998. She is an annual guest labyrinth presenter at Butler  University for  Dr. Paula Saffire’s “Hands on  Spirituality” honors class,  workshop facilitator at annual Midwest Laby-rinth Gatherings, and facilitates walks and workshops at St. Luke’s UMC Spiritual Life Center in Indianapolis. Dhyana has assisted John Ridder in his construction and labyrinth design for the past nine years.  Her latest endeavor is creating personally de-signed rituals using the labyrinth as a tool of transformation and grace.  Dhyana plays and sells Freenotes, pentatonic scale instruments designed and built by Richard Cooke of Colorado.

THE HANSENS  Tom Hansen and wife Nancy McCammon-Hansen have been  involved with the labyrinth since 2004 beginning in Nebraska and continuing in Fort Wayne, IN where they  now live.  Both are Veriditas trained and Certified Facilitators. Nancy and Tom have established strong labyrinth ministries in the congregations where Tom has served.  Their work with the labyrinth has reached across denominational and religious barriers.  They have also introduced the labyrinth to secular and non-religious groups.    Nancy’s background in media and public relations is an important component in their work.
